Creating prayer rugs and then, talk to the girls about your thoughts on the importance of kneeling when praying.
Purchase mat-size carpet from any local carpet store. (Sometimes, carpet stores will donate their mat-size carpet samples to you--just ask.) Use tole paints and stencils to decorate.
